Check me out in Voyage Baltimore!!!

Updated: Aug 25, 2021

Today we’d like to introduce you to Felicia Verrett.

Hi Felicia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself I began my journey in permanent makeup by first having my brows micro-bladed shortly before the pandemic began. When I found myself with so much time from the state shut down, I decided to take my time count and get certified to do microblading. Once certified, I found that there was so much more to know, so in the midst of opening my studio in August of 2020, I began taking more classes and honing my craft. I am now eight times certified and still learning more. I am certified in Phi Brows microblading and micro-shading, Savvy Creations ombre powder brows- 2x’s, pigment science, pigment removal, CRC Tatoo Removal, color theory, Chara Hilson’s lip neutralization, and bloodborne pathogens.

I have studied under the very best instructors (Phi Brows, Ms. Nicole J, Chara Hilson, etc.) to be able to offer the very best services. I offer after-care packages and have set my studio up as a relaxing environment. I have massage padding on my table, aromatherapy, and only the best products and quality disposable instruments for a relaxing and highly sanitized experience.

I have a community of other PMU Artists that are like-minded; we share information and enrich each other to be the best at what we do! I value all my customers and promise to do my very best to ensure that you have a positive experience and a beautiful outcome for your service.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way? It definitely has not been a smooth road. One of my first challenges was finding a place to do my craft. Finding a studio that met the criteria for housing my company in a great area, where clients felt comfortable and large enough to house my business but small enough to be affordable. Also, in starting, I had only taken one certification. There was so much to know and learn. Getting models was a big challenge, family members stepped up, and my friends also did. I could hone my craft and develop my style, but I had to take so many more classes to feel comfortable and knowledgeable when doing my consultations. Another challenge was getting business. Mastering social media to drive traffic, investing in Google and Facebook ads, using websites, and posting ads everywhere was not bringing in any business. I didn’t understand that I needed to keep working, let the word of mouth, social media, and ads work. Nothing is a substitute for time, practice, and good results. That’s the best advertising!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on? I am a Permanent Make-Up Artist specializing in Eyebrow artistry. I am known for my natural style of microblading and micro-shading and soft look ombre powder brows. I also specialize in brow lamination and henna brows! I love giving my clients not only beautiful brows but a complete relaxation experience.

Permanent Make-Up is scary to most because they think it will be very painful, but while in my studio, my clients are treated to professional artist, a massage bed, aromatherapy, relaxing music, and painless service!

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why? What matters to me most is that my clients are happy with their service, pleased with the overall experience and absolutely LOOOOVE their brows ! Getting those factors right has my clients leaving so very happy and sending friends and family. Satisfaction is my #1 priority for the brow babes of Brow-ish!
